Job Description

Senior Drainage Engineer

Stantec

• Analyze hydrologic / hydraulic stormwater conditions • Design of stormwater management systems, storm drain systems, open channel conveyance, culvert analysis, bridge hydraulics and floodplain compensation • Oversee production of drainage improvement plans • Compilation of permits and reports for approval by regulating agencies • Establish and track project scopes, schedules, and budgets • Provide guidance to other engineers with less experience • Provide direction and coordinate staff necessary to complete assignments • Assist with preparation and / or review of proposals

Job Requirements

  • Experience with SCDOT drainage criteria preferred
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HY-8, and Geopak Drainage preferred
  • Knowledge in Microstation/Geopak
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Ten (10) years of experience in hydrologic / hydraulic analysis and design is preferred
  • PE license in the state of South Carolina, or the ability to obtain one within six months is required
