Role Description The CAD Technician is part of a team focused on supporting large scale development programs for major clients within the Energy sector. The CAD Technician utilizes AutoCAD and other software to create a variety of design, permitting, and client specific exhibits and datasets. - Creation and QA/QC for the work of others to produce high quality and accurate exhibits and deliverables. - Completion of assigned drafting tasks within established metrics. - Applying knowledge of permitting regulations to site layout and exhibit creation. - Continual advancement of both drafting and regulatory knowledge. Qualifications - Intermediate level proficiency with AutoCAD (Civil 3D is a plus). - Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). - Intermediate level proficiency knowledge of Oil and Gas Rules and Regulations. - Intermediate level proficiency knowledge of O&G industry equipment and nomenclatures. - High Attention to detail. - Excellent communication and critical thinking skills. - Exceptional customer focus. - Ability to meet deadlines. - Timely Response. - Multi-task and Prioritization skills. - Team oriented. - Collaboration Skills. - Relentlessly accountable. Requirements - High school diploma or GED. - 1+ year of work experience using AutoCAD. Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. is looking for a motivated civil/structural Consultant to join our Critical Infrastructure Solutions team in our San Jose, CA office. Remote or other office locations (San Diego, CA, Denver, CO, Sacramento, CA, or Atlanta, GA) may be considered. A Consultant is an individual that has diversified knowledge of engineering principles, business development and leadership abilities, and capable of taking full responsibility for organizing, executing, and coordinating project assignments. Project assignments may include 3D modeling, advanced analysis and design of various industrial building and non-building structures and nonstructural components. The company operates in a variety of industries including design and maintenance of civil infrastructure, nuclear power, healthcare, dams and waterways, transportation, defense, pressure vessels and piping, and mechanical and electrical equipment. The individual should have experience in working with stakeholders to understand issues faced and develop scopes of work for proposals. The hired candidate will be joining a multi-disciplinary team of engineers serving clients in a diverse set of projects and industries. This position will be based in our Sacramento office, however other California locations and remote locations can be considered. Primary Responsibilities: - Project manager, task manager, or technical lead on mid-size to major projects. - Develop project specific criteria, technical approach, scope of work, and best practices to effectively deliver projects. - At project initiation, develop design concepts and create design/analysis briefs. - Oversee project technical execution, provide in-house review of analysis models, and verify analysis and design results against basic structural theory and code compliance. - Actively maintain project scopes, budgets, and schedules. - Author technical reports, and present at in-house or external client/peer review meetings. - Assist in project proposals through development of the technical approach, scope of work, and budget/schedules estimates. - Mentor and train junior staff.
