Applied AI Intern
Semiconductor Insight
• Build, Extend and maintain internal AI tools and automations. • Support data analysis and consolidation efforts across multiple portfolio companies, helping to identify patterns, clean datasets and prepare data for AI-driven insights. • Prototype AI-powered proof-of-concept applications that address specific operational challenges within DwyerOmega’s business units. • Design and refine prompts, system instructions and AI agent configurations to improve the quality and reliability of AI-generated outputs. • Evaluate and recommend emerging AI tools and platforms • Document technical approaches, architectural decisions and usage guides to support knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related technical field
- Proficiency in Javascript/Typescript and/or python; experience with web development frameworks (React, NodeJS) is a plus
- Hands-on experience with AI/LLM platforms and APIs (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Claude, Hugging Face or similar)
- Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques and/or building applications that integrate large language models.
- Strong problem-solving skills

• Perform AI/ML-related tasks such as data labeling, annotation, and content evaluation • Participate in remote assignments or attend on-site sessions when required • Follow project guidelines and ensure high-quality task completion • Provide feedback and input during testing activities • Complete tasks within given timelines
• Use proprietary software to provide labels, annotations, recordings, and inputs on projects involving multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and auditory elements in various languages. • Support the delivery of high-quality curated audio data that ensures clear, natural spoken output, accurate representation of linguistic and prosodic details (such as intonation, rhythm, and accent), and professional audio standards. • Collaborate with technical staff to develop tasks that improve AI's ability to handle speech modulation, accent variation, noise in real-world recordings, and multilingual audio processing. • Work with technical staff to improve annotation tools for efficient audio workflows.
