We’ve created a large percentage of iTunes Extras titles available on the App Store, developed the specification of and delivered the first Cross-Platform Extras titles, authored more than eight-thousand DVDs, two-thousand Blu-rays, as well as award-winning tablet and mobile apps.  About the role  Due to increased demand for localized content, Pixelogic is looking for experienced Norwegian into English subtitling translators and QCers to establish a professional, high-performing collaboration as part of our language services department with the end goal of servicing our clients’ end-to-end projects.  The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possess a flexible attitude, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. In addition, they must be able to work as part of a team that deals with changing priorities and workloads.  Due to the sensitive nature of the delivery schedule, time flexibility is of paramount importance.

• Provides organizational vision, leadership, supervision, and training for translation office language supervisors and multi-language supervisors using policies,procedures, and tools provided by the headquarters Translation Department. • Monitors and analyzes performance metrics across assigned language offices, identifying trends and implementing interventions as needed to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of translation projects and interpretation services. • Supervises some languages directly, as needed. • Ensures that project, people, and financial management conform to standards by performing operational reviews to verify compliance with approved policies and procedures. • Supports the coordination of sensitive and confidential requests as needed. • Coordinates the resolution of issues or concerns with the Area Translation Manager, or, as instructed, with the Global Language Coordination Manager assigned to the Area. • Coordinates the resolution of human resources, financial, technical, and legal needs related to translation and interpretation operations in assigned language offices, including recruitment, hiring, CAP, and local budgets.

• Provide consecutive interpretation services from an at-home office in the US for Federal Governments • Perform accurate and clear interpretation • Communicate and convey ideas effectively • Provide excellent customer service during each interpreting session • Meet all of the interpreter quality standards outlined by Accent on Languages and professional associations • Have a continual learning mindset; continue to expand professional knowledge and vocabulary to improve service to our customers • Take feedback well; receive and respond to feedback in a timely and effective manner • Complete all the required training, mentorship, and coaching • Keep all interpreter sessions and related information strictly confidential • Handle interpreting sessions that last for 2-4 hours
