• Own the backend systems that rank and serve personalized content to hundreds of millions of Spotify users on the Now Playing View, one of Spotify's most visible surfaces. • Work in an AI-native development workflow. To implement backend changes across services, review their output, and ensure architectural coherence across the system. • Integrate with ML serving infrastructure and collaborate with ML engineers to bring models from training to production within tight latency constraints. • Make product-informed backend decisions to understand why a feature matters to users, not just how to implement it. • Design and development of backend services and APIs within the ARD ecosystem • You design and implement scalable microservices based on Java using Spring Boot or Quarkus • Together with the team you design and decide on appropriate system architectures for exchanging, caching and transforming data • You work with containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes and support their operation and further development • Develop and maintain interfaces (e.g., REST, GraphQL) • You actively participate in code reviews, technical discussions and architecture decisions • Identify and implement improvements regarding performance, reliability and maintainability of existing systems

• Design and implementation of .NET Core services, Web APIs and desktop clients (WPF/WinForms). • Integration with SQL Server, PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems (e.g. MongoDB). • Implementation of RabbitMQ/Kafka queues for asynchronous communication. • Development of unit, integration and end-to-end tests; setup of GitLab CI / Azure DevOps pipelines. • Participation in architecture design and selection of patterns (DDD, event sourcing, CQRS). • Conducting code reviews and coaching junior developers.
