Role Description We are looking for an Account Payable Executive reporting into the Accounts Payable Manager . This position sits within a Finance team which prides itself on supporting the business’s financial growth, strategy and performance, as well as ensuring it meets the needs of the wider business teams. The focus is on accuracy and high standards with an attention to detail. The role supports the administration of all accounts payable aspects and should ensure all company policies and procedures are observed and financial reports are submitted accurately and on time and to assist in the day-to-day operations of the finance team. Key Responsibilities - Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims in a timely manner. - Ensure all invoices are coded correctly according to company accounts and cost centres. - Maintain accurate records of payments, receipts, and vendor communications. - Setting up new customers and projects on Maconomy. - Working with the wider team to gather project information e.g. PO’s and SOW’s. - Chasing POs internally. - Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status professionally and promptly. - Escalating queries to the appropriate team and following up in a timely manner. - Updating Maconomy with client payment terms and other client information. - Prepare and process payments in accordance with company policies. - Account Reconciliation: Reconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies, & maintaining the purchase ledger. - Other ad-hoc duties as required. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance is preferred. - Entry-level experience in payment management, reconciliations and AP reports preferred. - Knowledge of any ERP tools is a plus. - Strong organisational and communication skills (written and verbal). - Confidence managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. - High attention to detail and pride in your work. - A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to ask questions. - Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint (intermediate Excel and above). - Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, and working UK hours is essential.
