• Live teaching & practical skills transfer: You will lead interactive online sessions and impart solid expertise in payroll and salary accounting — from legal fundamentals to technical implementation in payroll systems. • Curriculum implementation & didactics: You prepare content with sound pedagogical structure. You use real payroll cases and current legislative changes to vividly connect theory and practice. • Participant support & exam preparation: You provide guidance, explain patiently, and ensure participants gain the confidence needed to start working in HR/payroll departments. • Quality assurance & feedback: You contribute to the continuous development of our teaching formats and provide subject-matter feedback to optimize our digital learning processes. • Team collaboration: You are part of a collaborative team that shares knowledge and jointly establishes a new form of digital teaching.
Job Requirements
- Solid practical experience in payroll: You have several years of experience in payroll processing, are well versed in tax and social security law, and are confident using payroll software (e.g., DATEV, SAP, Lexware).
- Didactic intuition: You can explain complex statutes and calculation methods clearly, structurally, and in an engaging way.
- Digital proficiency: You are comfortable in the virtual classroom (e.g., Zoom, Teams) and use digital tools confidently for course design.
- Attitude & empathy: You work respectfully and want to pass on your experience to people who are reorienting their careers.
- Certified pedagogy: You have experience in adult education and ideally hold a recognized pedagogical qualification (e.g., AEVO certificate / AdA).
- Language skills: Excellent German language skills (C2) are mandatory for teaching legal content.

Job Summary: The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for managing and executing the successful onboarding of new payroll clients. This role ensures a seamless transition from sales to production by configuring payroll systems, gathering client requirements, validating data, and delivering training. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in payroll processes. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary point of contact for new clients during the onboarding lifecycle. - Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables. - Conduct discovery sessions to gather and document client payroll, HR, and any timekeeping requirements, including best practices, compliance requirements, and system workflows. - Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, Support, Tax, Product, etc.) to ensure successful setup and deployment. - Configure payroll platform based on client-specific needs, including earnings, deductions, tax profiles, general ledger mappings, and reporting. - Validate system setup through test payroll runs and troubleshooting discrepancies. - Deliver training sessions for new clients on how to use the payroll system effectively. - Ensure clients are confident and ready to process their first live payroll. - Document all project details, client communications, and configuration notes. - Identify opportunities to improve implementation processes and overall customer experience. Qualifications - Minimum of 3 years of payroll and tax processing experience. - Strong understanding of payroll processes, payroll tax regulations and compliance. - Proven experience building trust and relationships with clients. - Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies and solve problems independently. - Proven experience handling sensitive payroll and employee data with discretion. - Able to clearly explain complex information to clients and effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. - Proven experience in problem solving and attention to detail. - Proven experience in balancing personal troubleshooting and seeking guidance. - Good critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate a situation, identify potential next steps and make informed decisions. - Advanced technical skills with a computer. - Able to work and function in a corporate setting, independently or collaboratively in teams. - Proven experience in using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. CP Payroll believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of this role’s hiring hourly range is $25-30/hr. The actual hourly range will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s education, training, experience, location, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, all CP Payroll team members receive equity and participate in either an annual bonus plan, based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan. This role is eligible for an annual bonus with a target of 5% of base salary, based on company and individual performance.
