Consultant, Turkish Language – Grant Financial Reports

European Endowment for Democracy (EED)

• EED relies on a network of consultants to support the EED Secretariat in assessing financial reports from EED grant beneficiaries. • Provide coaching on financial management when necessary. • Verify correctness and compliance of the reported expenditure with the approved budget and all EED contractual stipulations. • Liaise with grant beneficiaries to clarify financial reports.

Job Requirements

  • at least 3 years of proven full-time professional experience in the administrative and financial management of projects and/or programmes addressed to the civil society;
  • demonstrated track record in grant-making and/or administering contractual financial and technical reports;
  • experience in accounting and financial audits considered an asset;
  • thorough knowledge of English, in addition to Turkish;
  • solid ICT skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
  • high level of precision, with an eye to detail;
  • ability to keep full confidentiality about all assigned tasks and related documentation as well as able to exercise confidentiality, discretion and tact when dealing with diverse groups of people;
  • ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines;
  • ability to develop strong coordination with EED in-house staff;
  • provide references as to the suitability for the performance of duties.

As a Propulsion Analysis Engineer II, you will primarily focus on structural analysis of vehicles and propulsion systems. You will be exposed to multiple vehicles, systems, and engines, along with the unique challenges each present. We are looking for analysts who bring new skills and best practices from their prior experience to Ursa and who, in time, will mentor others. You will be expected to support verification and validation efforts and to provide proactive feedback to our design team based on the results of your work. Lastly, as Ursa ramps up its production rate and begins development on new engine platforms, you will be expected to assess nonconforming hardware, introduce approaches that could improve our team’s efficiency, and venture into additional analysis specialties to support others in our multi-disciplinary analysis team. You will report to our Propulsion Analysis Team Lead. This role is available to work remotely within the US (with 10% travel to Colorado) or as a hybrid or on-site role out of our Berthoud, Colorado office.
