Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, or a related field is preferred
  • Significant experience in project management and team leadership
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage project teams and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 being advantageous
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with a commitment to achieving project goals and driving continuous improvement.

Job Description AECOM is seeking a motivated Deputy Design Manager to support colocation and hyperscale data center projects from site due diligence and campus planning through design, construction documents, and construction administration. The ideal candidate has experience supporting project and design managers on data center projects within an A/E environment. This role supports coordination, documentation, and delivery of complex data center projects, with the expectation of increasing independence and the ability to serve as backup Design Manager. This position offers the flexibility of a remote work schedule and can be based from a variety of locations in the US were AECOM has an office. Although the position is primarily remote periodic travel may be required for client meetings, key project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, or other business‑critical activities.
