Certified Balance Sheet Accountant, Financial Accountant

• Independently post accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger transactions using DATEV, including fixed-asset accounting • Code and verify incoming and outgoing invoices for accuracy and completeness • Handle payment transactions, reconcile and post cash entries to ensure smooth financial flow • Properly document and archive all relevant financial records and supporting documents in accordance with legal requirements • Reconcile and maintain accounts to ensure high data integrity and error-free bookkeeping • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and produce monthly reports on the company’s financial position
Job Requirements
- You have a degree in accounting/taxation or a commercial apprenticeship with advanced training as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance sheet accountant)
- You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, ideally focused on general ledger accounting or as a Bilanzbuchhalter
- You are proficient and confident with ERP and IT systems, particularly DATEV and MS Excel
- You have solid knowledge of German VAT law; experience in payroll accounting is a plus
- You demonstrate an independent, structured and very precise working style
- You speak very good German and good English (company language)
