SAP Master Data Governance

• Implement and support SAP MDG solutions to ensure high-quality master data • Enforce governance standards and support enterprise-wide data management initiatives • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP MDG solutions for master data domains such as Business Partner (Customer/Supplier), Material, and Finance. • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define data governance processes, business rules, and validation logic. • Configure MDG change request processes, workflows, UI modeling, and validations to support governance and quality requirements. • Ensure data quality standards are in place through validations, duplicate checks, and automated rules before master data creation or updates. • Integrate SAP MDG with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and other applications (SAP or third-party systems) to facilitate master data replication and consistency across landscapes. • Provide production support, troubleshoot MDG issues, and drive continuous improvements. • Create and maintain documentation such as functional specifications, configuration guides, and governance policies. • Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions for end users and support teams. • Participate in data governance councils and contribute to governance strategy & policy development. • Support audit and compliance requirements by providing data change history, quality metrics, and reporting.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience working with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) or closely related master data management initiatives.
- Strong understanding of master data governance principles, data lifecycle processes, data quality, and data stewardship best practices.
- Hands-on experience with SAP MDG configuration (data models, UI, workflows, validations) and governance frameworks.
- Experience integrating SAP MDG with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, or other enterprise systems using replication technologies (IDocs, DRF) or middleware.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.
