Staff Software Engineer

Zippy

• Architect large, multi-system technical solutions with long-term scalability. • Define and drive adoption of org-wide standards, frameworks, and reference architectures. • Set domain-level SLOs and reliability strategies. • Lead security and threat modeling initiatives across multiple systems. • Guide technical roadmaps in collaboration with senior leadership. • Mentor multiple engineers across the org and run design reviews. • Deliver measurable improvements in org-level metrics (e.g., MTTR, deployment frequency).

Job Requirements

  • Extensive experience architecting distributed systems at scale.
  • Deep expertise in cloud, observability, and security practices.
  • Strong API design and testing methodology background.
  • Ability to drive consensus across teams and resolve conflicts constructively.
  • 9+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Demonstrated success in org-wide initiatives.
