Senior Analytics Engineer

Rox Partner

• Lead the development of scalable, robust analytical models using DBT. • Ensure the implementation of modeling standards (dimensional and/or relational) and analytics engineering best practices. • Create, test and document transformations, ensuring data quality, reliability, traceability and governance. • Develop and maintain complex data pipelines using Airflow (or equivalent orchestration tools), applying versioning, modularity, observability and DataOps best practices. • Integrate different data sources (structured and unstructured), ensuring efficient, resilient and monitorable processes. • Optimize queries, structures and costs in cloud Data Warehouses (such as BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake or similar), applying advanced performance tuning techniques. • Ensure governance, security, access control (IAM), partitioning, clustering and dataset versioning. • Collaborate with Data Analysts and Data Scientists to enable the consumption of reliable, well-documented and semantically organized datasets. • Evangelize technical standards, transformation best practices and governance across the organization. • Create and support dashboards and analytical products using BI tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau or similar). • Work with Engineering, Product, Business and Data Governance teams to ensure data integration, consistency and quality. • Participate in defining and evolving modern cloud data architecture (GCP or AWS), proposing continuous improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Solid experience as an Analytics Engineer, BI Engineer, Data Engineer or equivalent analytical role.
  • Proven track record working with end-to-end analytical pipelines.
  • Strong SQL expertise for manipulation, modeling and query optimization on large-scale databases.
  • Experience with dimensional and relational modeling.
  • Professional experience with the DBT ecosystem in production.
  • Creation of models, macros, tests, documentation and lineage.
  • Implementation of standards such as modularity, DRY, staging/curated layers and versioning.
  • Experience with Airflow, building and maintaining complex DAGs, orchestrating jobs and data pipelines, as well as applying observability, retries, CI/CD and modularity best practices.
  • Advanced expertise in cloud Data Warehouses (GCP or AWS), such as BigQuery, Redshift or equivalents, including partitioning and clustering, cost and performance strategies, query analysis and tuning, dataset governance and project architecture definition.
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Looker, Power BI or Tableau, developing dashboards, semantic layer and analytical models; knowledge of semantic modeling.
  • Familiarity with complementary cloud services (GCP or AWS), such as Cloud Storage or S3, IAM, logging and monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of DBT Cloud and its advanced features.
  • Experience with DataOps/MLOps, CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Experience with modern architectures (Data Lakehouse, Data Mesh or Data Vault).
  • Knowledge of Python for task automation, building custom pipelines and/or exploratory analysis.
