• Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to design, develop, modify, or integrate complex information systems. • Devises or modifies application systems and procedures to optimize functional requirements including capacity, operating time, response time, and form of desired results. • Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs, subroutines, and scripts. • Develops and implements program/system test plans. • Devises data verification methods and standard system procedures. • Responds to system failures and performance events by taking appropriate measures to reduce system downtime and eliminate recurrence of problems. • May conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and support management in budgeting and purchasing efforts. • Acts as expert technical resource to development staff in all phases of the development and implementation process.

• Design, develop, and maintain the services and frameworks that product teams depend on. • Work hands-on with technologies like Ruby / Rails and Go to build highly resilient, scalable systems; from real-time server-to-client data infrastructure to analytics and experimentation services. • Contribute to architectural decision and technical strategy for platform services. • Own and contribute to significant projects from concept to production. • Partner with product managers, designers, and engineering teams across Calendly to understand their needs and translate them into robust platform solutions.

• Building cross-platform purchase flows, social gifting experiences, and commerce surfaces. • Owning projects end-to-end: scoping, designing, building, shipping, and iterating based on experiment results. • Working directly with game studio partners to understand their needs. • Collaborating closely with product, design, and game developers. • Partnering with other product teams to design shared commerce primitives. • Raising the bar for the engineers around you through code review and technical design input.
