UX Engineer

Role Description As a UX Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of design and development, serving as the vital link that brings aesthetic visions to life through high-fidelity code. You will collaborate closely with Product Designers to validate feasibility and with Software Engineers to ensure the architectural integrity of the user interface. How you'll contribute - Collaborate with Product Designers and Stakeholders to transform complex wireframes and high-fidelity mockups into functional, pixel-perfect code. - Develop and maintain a scalable, reusable component library within our Design System to ensure UI consistency across all digital products. - Build high-fidelity interactive prototypes to validate user experiences and conduct usability testing before full-scale engineering implementation. - Architect clean, modular, and maintainable CSS/SASS structures and front-end logic that align with modern web standards. - Optimize application performance and load times to ensure a smooth, lag-free experience for users across various devices and browsers. - Implement web accessibility best practices (WCAG) to ensure our platform is inclusive and usable for people with diverse needs. - Bridge the communication gap between design and engineering teams by translating design specifications into technical requirements. - Refine micro-interactions and animations to enhance the overall "look and feel" and emotional engagement of the product. - Conduct thorough code reviews and UI audits to maintain high quality-assurance standards for the interface. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 7+ Years of experience working in design technology, UX engineering, interaction design, or related roles. - Prior experience building or contributing to design systems. - Demonstrated experience creating interactive prototypes and refining design specifications. - Experience reviewing and improving design quality through hands-on refinement. - Ability to identify gaps in designs, including missing states, edge cases, and interaction details. - Deep understanding of interaction design principles, micro-interactions, and animation. - Experience designing and specifying responsive behaviors across different screen sizes. - Ability to evaluate designs for technical feasibility and recommend alternatives when needed. - Strong visual design sensibility and ability to maintain design consistency. - Expert proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript for prototyping and component development. - Strong experience with web components and Lit framework. - Proficiency with modern frameworks like React and/or Angular. - Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern CSS architecture (CSS-in-JS, CSS modules, tokens, etc.). - Experience with prototyping tools and frameworks (Framer, ProtoPie, custom code, etc.). - Experience with Storybook for component documentation and development. - Familiarity with visual regression testing tools (Percy, Chromatic, BackstopJS, or similar). - Understanding of design tokens and design-to-code workflows. - Strong experience working with Figma, including translating and refining designs. - Advanced English Level is required for this role, as you will work with US clients. Job Requirements
