• Own the delivery of motion control features from design to integration, providing a well controlled, safe and comfortable vehicle experience. • Provide input to team roadmaps and ensure timely delivery of features. • Work closely with systems engineers to ensure a safe, well tested product is delivered. • Write state of the art software, using modern C++ and Python. Make extensive use of unit testing, simulation, and log simulation. • Spend time on the vehicles to experience in person how motion control features affect truck behavior and aid in performance analysis and tuning of the control algorithms. • Develop motion control methods for real time, resource constrained applications. • Be involved in design and iteration exercises, and help to align stakeholders by using strong presentation and communication skills.

Make extensive use of unit testing, simulation, and log simulation. • Work closely with other Autonomy teams (Constraint Generation, Trajectory Selection, World Fusion, Prediction, ...) to design and deploy robust solutions, encompassing all aspects of autonomous driving. • Be involved in design and iteration exercises, and help to align stakeholders by using strong presentation and communication skills.

• Act as technical lead for, and contribute meaningfully to, medium and large projects • Build and evolve an internal developer platform with clear self-service workflows ("golden paths") that makes it easy for Clever engineers to build, deploy, and scale well-architected applications. • Define and maintain standards, templates, and automation that help teams ship quickly and safely without sacrificing reliability, security, or compliance. • Collaborate with product engineering teams to understand friction points, gather requirements, and iterate on platform capabilities as an internal product. • Provide observability primitives (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting) and opinionated defaults so teams can operate services effectively with minimal toil. • Implement multi-region capabilities, including repeatable environment provisioning, resiliency patterns, and fast region failover. • Lead resiliency initiatives and implement reliability engineering practices to meet or exceed 99.98% uptime for critical services. • Model and reinforce Clever's engineering culture and practices, including collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. See our blog post on Defining Clever's Engineering Culture. • Current and upcoming projects include: migrating services and compute from AWS ECS to AWS EKS and EC2, evolving our internal developer platform to support that shift, and expanding Clever globally by deploying regionally replicated infrastructure to meet customer data-sovereignty requirements.

• Lead architecture designs and technical specifications ensuring scalability, maintainability and performance • Design and build robust, scalable services and APIs • Take ownership of software development initiatives from coding and testing to deployment and maintenance • Perform thorough code reviews to maintain quality, consistency and adherence to coding standards • Mentor senior engineers providing supportive feedback and promoting a positive and innovative culture within the team • Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to turn business requirements into production solutions
