• Evaluate aerial utility poles for structural viability, clearance, and attachment opportunities from power space to communication space • Conduct detailed pole loading analysis (PLA) using software such as O-Calc Pro, SpidaCalc, or PoleForeman • Develop accurate make-ready recommendations including relocations, replacements, guying, risers, and down guys • Review pole configuration, height, class, existing loads, and tension forces to determine compliance with NESC and owner specifications • Collaborate with field survey teams to verify pole dimensions, attachment heights, span lengths, and clearance measurements • Prepare and submit MRE/PLA reports, including annotated photos, sketches, and redlines in KMZ or GIS-based formats • Interface with permitting and joint-use teams to support pole application submittals • Ensure all deliverables meet client, utility, and regulatory standards (e.g., NESC Rule 235, 238, 239) • Communicate with power utilities and joint-use pole owners to respond to feedback or revisions during make-ready coordination

Role Description The City of Salem is hiring for Senior Traffic Engineer! As the Senior Traffic Engineer, you will oversee operations of the City’s traffic signals, school zone flashers, and streetlights. In this role you will work closely with the Traffic Signal Supervisor and Assistant Traffic Engineer on long-term planning for the City’s signal system and to advance the City’s goals of a safe and efficient transportation system. As part of the Traffic Engineering & Traffic Signals team, you will work closely with the City Traffic Engineer, Assistant City Traffic Engineer, and Signal Supervisor on department leadership, delivering on City priorities, and operating a safe, efficient, and reliable transportation system. This position will provide both leadership and technical growth opportunities through collaboration within the team and other partners across the City. Reporting to the City Traffic Engineer, the Senior Traffic Engineer is the lead engineer for the City’s traffic signal system. This includes: - Project development, project management, and long-term planning for signal related projects. - Overseeing the day-to-day work of the Assistant Traffic Engineer, focusing on implementation of signal timing changes and coordination with the City’s Traffic Signal Maintenance Team. Additional responsibilities include: - Overseeing traffic signal operations, including leading efforts to retime corridors to improve safety and efficiency. - Coordination with other agencies, including Keizer, Marion County, and ODOT, on signal maintenance and operations under the Traffic Control Center Grant Agreement. - Coordinating with Engineering on capital projects through design and construction. - Assisting Development Services with review of traffic signal elements throughout the development process. - Managing software related to traffic signal operations, including evaluating alternative software, planning for purchases, and managing agreements and contracts for software. - Representing Traffic Engineering at Council, Commission, and Neighborhood Association meetings. - Long-term planning and budgeting for signal system maintenance and upgrades. - Other traffic engineering duties as needed to support department goals and priorities. Qualifications - Must pass the pre-employment background check. - Must have an Oregon Driver license and meet the City of Salem's driving standards. - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or a related field. - Ten (10) years of experience in Traffic Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field, or any combination of education, experience and training that demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities as listed, and ability to perform the essential job functions. - Professional Civil Engineer License (PE) required (or Comity to obtain a State of Oregon license required within one year of appointment to the position). Role Description The Airframe Technical Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between the Client and the maintenance organization, acting as a trusted technical representative throughout the lifecycle of aircraft maintenance events. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating client needs across routine maintenance activities, minor unscheduled findings, major scheduled inspections, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations. As the customer’s key technical liaison, the Airframe Technical Advisor acts as an advocate for the Client and provides expert guidance to support informed decision-making, balancing airworthiness, operational impact, cost control, and schedule adherence. Duties and Responsibilities - Collaborate with customers to evaluate and recommend the most appropriate inspection and maintenance alternatives. - Support customers in coordinating all aspects of maintenance events with assigned repair facilities and service providers. - Provide on-site customer representation, particularly during major scheduled inspections. - Support customers during Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events, ensuring timely communication and resolution. - Create and manage Service Calls to track technical data, event progress, and support financial forecasting. - Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular and proactive communication. - Build and sustain working relationships with regional service facilities, mobile repair teams, and other service providers. - Research aircraft logbooks and/or perform visual inspections for new enrollments or existing contract reviews. - Review and process invoices in AMS, meeting turn-time goals established by Technical Services Management and company policy. - Perform event triage by assessing maintenance findings and ensuring each situation is handled appropriately and efficiently. - Conduct asset inspections when enrolling new aircraft into service programs. - Maintain a thorough working knowledge of applicable contracts, policies, and procedures. - Perform additional duties as assigned by Technical Services Management. Qualifications - Airframe and Powerplant ratings required. - Bachelor’s Degree (or its equivalent) in Aviation Field preferred. - 10 years’ experience with corporate turbine-powered business aircraft (not commercial) preferred, with particular expertise working with Gulfstream and Bombardier airframes. - Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. - Strong interpersonal skills. - Ability to read and write articulately and analytically. - Clear understanding of relevant technical skills. - Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure. - Well organized. - Have or be able to obtain passport and perform international travel.
