About the Role This project is suited for a Senior Python developer with deep functional testing experience, strong Linux and Docker skills, the ability to read code across multiple languages with the support of LLMs (e.g., C, Rust, Go) and translate requirements for migration tasks, and confidence using tools like Roo Code or Claude Code to accelerate iterative development. Role Description You’ll build innovative developer tools that make Slice’s developers build and release high quality software faster, and improve our infrastructure platform to be ready for the growth of the company. You’ll primarily work in Python to build tools as CLI tools and web applications that integrate with our Kubernetes-based infrastructure platform. You’ll collaborate closely with our developers and other stakeholders to deliver high quality tools to help them get their job done. We welcome candidates of all experience levels. Since job titles vary across companies, we will assess your appropriate level at Slice during the interview process. Qualifications - Proven experience and passion for using backend software technologies such as Python, Go, or Ruby, automated testing. - Interest in working with infrastructure technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, Github Actions, and Docker. - Comfortable working remotely and collaborating asynchronously with teammates in different timezones and from different backgrounds. - Able to clearly express opinions on development processes, tooling and infrastructure, while respecting the thoughts and opinions of your peers.
