THE BASICS - Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a major/focus of study in Materials, Metallurgical, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field(s) - Understanding of heat and mass transfer, chemical reactions, and equilibrium (chemistry and chemical engineering fundamentals), metallurgy of steels. - Understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and process models. - Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) THE EXTRAS - Background in major steel mill processes and products with in-depth knowledge of Steelmaking (melting, refining, casting) processes and technology - Knowledge of quality systems and processes. - Experience in heavy manufacturing environment. - Experience performing database queries and statistical analysis.
