• Contribute to the design and development of our Data platform. • Work closely with AI / ML Engineers to build intelligence and automation into all Canoe systems. • Design and implement data models, data pipelines, and data architectures in support of new Canoe product offerings. • Participate in cross-functional teams as Data Engineering’s representative. • Build observable systems and be an organization leader in operational excellence.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, with at least two in a Data Engineering role
- Experience with SQL Databases and relational data modeling.
- Experience working with data at scale.
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Great communication skills.
- A history of working well with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

As a strategic individual contributor, the Sr. Data Architect will partner with executive leadership, Engineering, Analytics, Security, and Product teams to ensure data is reliable, secure, governed, and positioned as a competitive advantage. This remote position is open to individuals who live in, or are open to relocating to, the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. This position requires travel to our headquarters in Melville, NY 3 times per year for internal meetings and team building activities. Additional travel may be required based on department and company needs.
