Responsibilities & Qualifications We are seeking a Senior Claims Specialist who can independently manage a variety of homeowners and commercial property claims with minimal supervision while delivering exceptional service and sound decision-making. In this role, you will investigate claims thoroughly, analyze coverage, liability, and damages, and develop well-supported coverage positions. You will negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys, while maintaining proactive file management and accurate reserving practices. You’ll also oversee litigated files, present claims to internal committees, and ensure adherence to audit and departmental guidelines. Success in this position requires strong analytical thinking, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to build relationships while navigating complex situations. A high level of comfort with claims technology and systems is essential, along with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate brings prior experience handling property claims, along with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field. We would also consider someone from the property restoration industry. Industry designations such as Associate in Claims (AIC), Associate in General Insurance (AINS), or CPCU coursework are preferred and demonstrate a commitment to professional growth.
