Associate Merchandise Planner
VICI
Role Description The Associate Planner supports the planning team in driving sales, margin, and inventory performance. This role works collaboratively with the senior planner, buying, marketing, and site teams to ensure effective management of inventory and achievement of financial objectives. Essential Functions - Sales Forecasting & Analysis: - Monitor daily and weekly sales performance of select categories to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. - Help prepare presentations and reports for leadership on sales and inventory performance. - Inventory Management: - Maintain Open-to-Buy (OTB) data model each week, reconciling any variances to inventory targets. - Partner with the buying team to track receipts of best sellers and provide recommendations for chase, inventory flow timing, and pre-orders. - Help analyze key metrics such as sell-through, weeks of supply, and aged inventory. - Provide recommendations to the senior planner and buyers on markdowns and RTVs based on performance data. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Work closely with the buying partners on inventory and assortment tracking and reporting. - Support communication of inventory and sales updates with marketing, site, and operations teams. - Support strategic initiatives such as product debuts, promotions, and influencer collaborations through data analysis and reporting. - Partner with outlet store manager on monthly allocations of aged or slow moving product. - Reporting & Business Insights: - Prepare and maintain weekly selling reports to share insights across teams. - Assist in quarterly hindsight reports to analyze performance and guide future strategy. - Contribute to ad-hoc reporting and data analysis as needed to support business initiatives. - Maintain data accuracy within planning systems, spreadsheets, and reports. - Other Duties as Assigned: - Support the planning team with additional analytical or administrative tasks to meet evolving business needs. Qualifications - 2-3 years of experience in merchandise planning, allocation, or inventory management (e-commerce preferred). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. - Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills; highly comfortable with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic financial modeling. - Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools is a plus. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Bachelor’s degree in business, Merchandising, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience). - Experience with NetSuite, Shopify, or similar systems is beneficial. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with strong curiosity and willingness to learn. - Highly analytical thinker with strong attention to detail. - Eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced e-commerce environment. Expected Hours of Work - This is a full-time remote position, business hours PST. Salary - $80,000 - $90,000 a year. Job Requirements
