Job Description

Senior Payroll Accountant

• Perform employee payment analysis for employee reimbursements before payments are input in the pay system • Assist in reviewing, researching, and adjusting time records to ensure accuracy to complete payroll • Perform bi-weekly timesheet processing and labor costing at the end of the timesheet period • Reconcile labor costs to ensure all employees are paid according to hours worked • Review biweekly payroll reports for accuracy • Provide annual timekeeping training • Perform review and follow-up of tax forms for annual tax forms requirement • Participate in special projects such as accounting software updates and audits • Understand HR Policies that apply to timekeeping to assist with answering employee and manager questions • Cross train co-workers to support positions in their absence • Other departmental duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or years of experience equivalent to degree
  • Five or more years of labor and payroll accounting and processing experience
  • Experience in general ledger accounting and account reconciliations preferred
  • Experience working with general accounting principles
  • Experience with Government Travel Regulations is a plus
  • Experience working with Costpoint and Deltek Time & Expense a plus
