JOB SUMMARY VBC Analytics is a single, independent team covering BSW Health and Quality Alliance (ACO) analytical needs. Domain verticals connect directly to core stakeholders and operational structures while aligning with internal SMEs and current capacities. We have over 1.2 million lives across multiple blocks of business and industry-leading analytics to support our organization. We are seeking a customer-facing Analyst who works closely with key business stakeholders within the value-based care team. As a crucial member of our analytics department, you will be responsible for transforming complex healthcare data into insightful and actionable insights or visualizations. This role will operate in two capacities; to augment existing data products, as well as innovate new analytic experiences that simplify data into insights. The pay range for this position is $28.52/hour (entry level qualifications) - $42.79/hour (highly experienced). The specific rate will depend upon the successful candidate's specific qualifications and prior experience. Responsibility includes a combination of: - Handle ad-hoc analysis of quality measures to analyze trends, performance (20%) - Leverage medical and pharmaceutical claims and Electronic Health Record (EHR) data with Snowflake SQL to measure financial impact (15%) - Support enterprise data governance initiatives by implementing data quality rules, validations, and monitoring tools to ensure accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and consistency of analytical datasets. (15%) - Design architecture, model data and create BI dashboards and/or reporting solutions for Quality measures to identify trends, variance (20%) - Data Integration & Product Enhancement: Integrate diverse healthcare datasets using Power BI and the Microsoft Power Platform to deliver comprehensive insights while supporting and enhancing existing products through automation, enforcement of technical standards, and implementation. (10%) - Run and support the end-to-end Measures integration process by securely sending data to third party, receiving and validating computed measure files for completeness, accuracy, and format, and monitoring and troubleshooting the ETL workflow in coordination with internal teams and external partners. (15%) - Continue personal growth and development through weekly dedicated time (5%). - This role is a good fit for those familiar with healthcare and medical trends Essential Functions of the Role: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions to support business intelligence and advanced analytics needs. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, data engineers, and product managers to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights. - Optimize and write complex SQL queries for performance and scalability across large datasets, in Snowflake. - Lead initiatives in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) for data ingestion, transformation, and storage. - Perform statistical analysis of quality measures, claims to understand trends in cost, utilization and performance. - Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security by enforcing governance and quality standards. - Create and manage dashboards and visualizations in Power BI to support data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities - Leverage your analytical abilities to develop custom reports and marketing strategies. - Work closely with client managers to identify opportunities to optimize client campaigns and expand budgets. - Actively mine data from databases to develop business and predictive models using various statistical techniques. - Build complex and multi-layered forecasts in Excel and Tableau for business planning. - Support ongoing analysis and monitoring of key business KPIs. - Key liaison between business and technical resources in managing day to day data analytics. - Ensure data quality of external partners used to help drive decisions Experience - Record of high academic achievement with a BS degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Math/Science, or otherwise proven background in business/analytics. MS preferred. - 2+ years of work experience in data analytics/science. - Strong analytical mindset with a drive toward actionable insights from data. - Deep interest in online marketing and media industry. Industry experience a plus. - High internal motivation with ability to understand the full stack of product development. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to apply the most efficient analytical tool for the business problem. - Willingness to initiate and own research, exploration, and analysis from start to finish for any business problem. - Good interpersonal skills and ability to remain focused-yet-flexible in a fast-paced internet company environment. - Proficiency in MS Excel, strong SQL, and working knowledge of or familiarity with database applications. (e.g., Python, R and Tableau) The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 USD to $100,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units.
