Role Description Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Sales Representative to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Pass and Seymour Team. This is a remote position reporting to Charlotte, NC. The Sr. Sales Representative is responsible for achieving assigned sales quotas and goals for customers located within a defined geographic territory or account list. Prospects and develops business, responds to RFPs, and develops proposals for presentation to customers. Coordinates account resources with representatives from marketing, pre-sales engineering, and development. - Establish and grow account/end user relationships to ensure that the corporate and territory goals are met or exceeded. - Develop and manage territory business plans, including expenses, sample budgets, and end-user presence. - Work within the Engineer and Consulting community to promote and secure specifications. - Establish a presence at the state and local government levels for inspectors and code awareness. - Maintain close working relationships with corporate functions, providing competitive feedback to pricing departments. - Develop and maintain local training programs, altering corporate programs to suit individual territory needs. - Train and educate customers and end users on the application, features, and benefits of products. - Perform other similar and related duties as required. - Daily usage of CRM Tool (SFDC). - Project Management. - Job Tracking. - Open Opportunity Management. - Contact/Account Updates. - Key Territory Business Plans. - Territory updates of activities at National Accounts. Qualifications - 4-year degree or equivalent experience. - 4-7 years of prior sales experience, preferably with electrical distribution channel or similar. - Demonstrated track record of successful contractor sales. - Excellent verbal and written communications skills. - Effective listening skills and ability to validate understanding of information. - Ability to craft and give presentations to diverse audiences. - Understanding of commercial, residential, data-center, and industrial markets. - Effective negotiation skills with empathetic ability. - Strong computer skills, proficient with software for analysis and presentations. - Strong product knowledge and technical understanding. - Working knowledge of Digital Competence and Connected Homes. - Ability to understand customer needs and offer solutions. - Collaboration skills with all levels of customers and end-users. - Understanding of the personas of various customers. - Ability to add value, tools, and processes to customers/contractors. - Good understanding of the LNCA journey map and Design Thinking. Job Requirements
