About the opportunity The Sr. Configuration Systems Analyst (DevOps) is responsible for providing Configuration Management, Incident Management, and Infrastructure support for Dayforce solutions supporting U.S. Public Sector (GUSA) initiatives. This role plays an important part in maintaining and supporting Dayforce environments while also identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and tooling. The analyst will collaborate with Development, Support, Services, and Technology teams to support the Dayforce software lifecycle while helping drive improvements to infrastructure management. The ideal candidate is a DevOps-oriented engineer who combines strong operational knowledge with hands-on development capabilities and a passion for automation-first solutions. Citizenship Requirement for US Candidates: - Must be a US citizen - Ability to obtain US security clearance What you'll get to do - Configuration Management - - Set up and manage Dayforce environments across multiple data centers. - Plan and coordinate infrastructure requirements for major releases, including server builds and resource capacity planning (CPU, memory, disk, OS). - Ensure adherence to configuration management processes, operational standards, and escalation procedures. - Support the Services team with Dayforce hosting configuration, including SFTP setup, access management, and automation tools. - Maintain documentation for platform architecture, configurations, and operational procedures, including reviewing knowledge articles for publication. - Automation & DevOps Support - Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions (e.g., Terraform, PowerShell, CI/CD pipelines) to standardize provisioning and configuration management. - Develop internal automation tools and reusable frameworks to reduce manual operational tasks. - Contribute scripts, tooling, and automation components to shared repositories following source control best practices. - Identify systemic inefficiencies and engineer scalable automation solutions. - Promote an automation-first mindset across the Configuration Management and Infrastructure teams. - Incident Management - Support internal Dayforce users and customers within established SLAs, including troubleshooting, backfills, upgrades, access management, and environment setup. - Analyze, prioritize, and resolve incidents while ensuring adherence to incident management and escalation procedures. - Assist analysts with ticket triage and provide technical guidance for complex issues. - Promote the use of automation tools and best practices to improve efficiency and reduce manual support requests. - Act as a technical escalation point and collaborate with Support, Development, and Cloud Hosting teams to resolve incidents and implement long-term solutions. - Participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems, including the potential for after-hours or weekend work as required. - Infrastructure Support - Respond to and investigate alerts generated by monitoring systems, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for recurring issues. - Provide technical guidance to analysts during complex troubleshooting and major incident scenarios. - Recommend and implement improvements to monitoring, alerting, and operational practices to reduce noise and improve system reliability. - Collaborate with Development and Technology teams to address infrastructure issues, including disk space management, backups, patching, and server performance. - Proactively identify operational risks or process disruptions and recommend improvements such as capacity planning, automation opportunities, and infrastructure optimizations. This role is a critical technical leadership position on the Systems Operations (SysOps) team, responsible for architecting and managing our cloud environment, driving IaC maturity, and integrating AI-powered practices that improve reliability, reduce toil, and scale our operational capabilities. You will serve as a subject matter expert in infrastructure domains, own complex workstreams end-to-end, and partner strategically with peers, engineering teams, and guidance to deliver impactful outcomes across the organization.
