Role Description Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Legal Operations & Innovation, the E-Billing Coordinator supports the day-to-day financial operations of the Legal Department with a focus on external legal spend, reporting, and analysis. The role serves as a primary liaison between outside counsel, Finance, and internal stakeholders across NBCU’s US and international offices, combining strong interpersonal skills with quantitative expertise to manage, audit, and optimize legal billing processes. - Serve as system administrator for legal billing software (e.g., Tymetrix 360), reconciling and recording vendor invoices and maintaining billing portfolio reports for assigned legal teams. - Support onboarding of outside counsel and legal vendors; review time entries for proper matter coding, rate adherence, and compliance with Outside Counsel Guidelines. - Act as subject-matter expert for fee arrangements (hourly, flat, fixed, capped, and alternate fee structures). - Research and resolve billing inquiries in collaboration with internal stakeholders and outside counsel. - Assist with creation and submission of billing reports across systems; deliver monthly and quarterly reporting for leadership. - Partner with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to ensure timely payments, smooth billing processes, and coordinate cost corrections as needed. - Proactively identify billing/accounting issues and recommend solutions to Legal Operations leadership. - Conduct ad-hoc spot audits of legal matter bills and ensure billing rate compliance. - Identify and participate in process-improvement initiatives to build efficiencies into reporting and eBilling workflows. - Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (knowledge of basic accounting principles preferred). - 3+ years of experience handling domestic and international legal billing in a large corporate law department or law firm. - Expert proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Windows-based software; advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting. - Expert knowledge of LEDES file billing practices and eBilling standards. - Demonstrated experience with ebilling systems such as Tymetrix 360/Tymetrix Legal, Anaqua, LEDES, SAP, and SNAP. - Ability to explore and analyze datasets and visualize insights using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, and Tableau. Requirements - Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. - Flexibility to collaborate across time zones and support global teams as needed. Electronically verifying insurance eligibility & accurately identifying & collecting patient financial responsibility.
