Construction Estimator

We are looking for a Construction Estimator to support preconstruction and bidding efforts across a range of commercial, civil, and industrial projects. This role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing project documents, and supporting the pursuit of new work. The position works closely with project managers, subcontractors, and leadership to ensure competitive and well-structured bids. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates with estimating experience who are open to exploring multiple project types and growth opportunities. Responsibilities - Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial, civil, or industrial construction projects - Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and bid documents - Review plans and project requirements to identify scope, risks, and cost drivers - Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing to support bid development - Develop bid proposals, scopes of work, and supporting documentation - Collaborate with project managers and operations teams during preconstruction - Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and historical cost data - Assist with value engineering and cost optimization strategies - Track bid opportunities and follow up on submitted proposals

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in construction estimating or preconstruction
  • Experience in commercial, civil, industrial, or specialty construction environments
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost structures
  • Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, and bid solicitation processes
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
