Software Engineer in Test Intern (Remote)

American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking a Software Engineer in Test Intern 2 to join our Consumer Technology – QA (CRQ) department. This position will gain hands-on experience maintaining and developing software test automation tools using the latest Microsoft technologies. Hourly Salary Range American Specialty Health complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $20.75 to $25.00 Hourly Wage Range. Remote Worker Considerations: Candidates who are selected for this position will be trained remotely and must be able to work from home (WFH) in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment. This remote/WFH position requires you have a stable connection to your Internet Service Provider with the ability to participate by video in online meetings over a reliable and consistent network (minimum internet download of 50 Mbps and 10 Mbps upload speed. 100 down/20 up is recommended to support higher quality video meetings). Responsibilities - Contributes to enterprise level testing of web applications. - Writing test cases, test procedures. - Running and maintaining test automation tools. - Develop test automation scripts. - The depth and breadth of the projects will depend on the intern’s experience and knowledge. Qualifications - Course work in computer science or other technical field. High school diploma required. - Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an IT or computer or technical related field. - Technical experience from previous jobs preferred. - Academic or commercial exposure to software quality assurance. - Experience with object-oriented programming in an academic, hobbyist, or commercial environment. - Experience working with Web Services and APIs. - Responsible, team-oriented, self-starter. - Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. - Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
