Health Information Management Coding Manager
Valley View
Role Description The Coding Manager supports Coding and CDI day-to-day operations related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to policies and procedures covering coding and reimbursement. The Coding Manager is responsible for supervision of the HIM Coders and CDI staff to ensure productivity, collaboration and adherence to goals and compliance. The Coding manager will manage all coding and coding related processes and Coding education. The Coding manager will implement/maintain an effective CDI program. - Strong knowledge of coding guidelines (ICD10 CMS/PCS, CPT MS-DRG) and regulatory requirements. - Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills required. - Required CCS credentials at minimum. - Several years in coding, CDI, HIM and proven leadership/management experience. Qualifications - Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician, Registered Health Information Management Administrator, or highly experienced in data coordination and reporting, information systems support and skilled in Microsoft Professional suite. - Minimum of five years' experience in a data management/coordinator type position. - Associate's degree in health information management preferred. Requirements - CCS credentials at minimum. - Several years in coding, CDI, HIM and proven leadership/management experience. Job Requirements
