Lead Forward Deployed Engineer

Airtable

• Embed within strategic customer organizations to understand their business processes, operations, and goals • Identify and deliver high-impact technical solutions that drive organizational transformation and measurable results • Act as a thought leader and trusted advisor to senior executives, translating Airtable’s value into customer-specific language • Rapidly prototype and deploy solutions to accelerate time to value and drive adoption • Lead innovation and solution ideation workshops with key customers • Guide clients in building custom solutions, driving adoption, and ensuring successful change management • Provide real-world product feedback to influence Airtable’s roadmap • Evangelize and expand use cases, driving account growth and AI adoption • Reduce risk of churn and contraction by establishing trust and technical expertise • Leverage creative storytelling to communicate complex technical concepts • Travel to customer sites as needed

Job Requirements

  • 5-7 years in SaaS pre-sales, implementation, or customer-facing roles in enterprise environments
  • 7-10 years of technology and sales experience, ideally with large, flexible platforms
  • Experienced in managing sales cycles and technical evaluations
  • Strong business acumen with knowledge of business operations across multiple industries
  • Hands-on technical builder with experience architecting, prototyping, and developing custom solutions
  • Deep understanding of relational database architecture and enterprise integration methodologies
  • Active AI user and implementer, familiar with LLMs, vibe coding, and Airtable
  • Skilled communicator and presenter, comfortable with public speaking and storytelling
  • Passionate about low-code/no-code applications and emerging technology trends
  • Familiar with programming languages and process/persona mapping tools (e.g., Lucid, Figma, Mural, Miro)
  • Willing to travel and thrive in dynamic, customer-centric environments

Job Summary TYLin is seeking a highly experienced Senior Signals Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of complex rail and transit signal systems across commuter rail, light rail, and high-speed rail projects. This role will lead signal engineering efforts from concept through commissioning, with responsibility for developing robust, safe, and efficient train control and signaling solutions in multi-disciplinary project environments. Responsibilities & Qualifications What You’ll Do: - Lead the design and engineering of rail signal systems, including interlockings, cab signaling, CBTC/PTC systems, and grade crossing warning systems - Develop and review signal circuit designs, control lines, route & aspect charts, and cable plans - Serve as Engineer of Record and/or technical lead on major signal projects - Produce and oversee preparation of construction documents (plans, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules) - Perform design reviews, circuit checking, and quality assurance of signal deliverables - Support installation, testing, commissioning, and system cutovers, including field coordination - Interface with clients, operations teams, and multidisciplinary stakeholders to define system requirements - Contribute to proposals, technical specifications, and procurement support, including bid evaluations and shop drawing reviews - Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers What You’ll Bring: - Extensive experience in rail signal and train control system design across transit and commuter rail environments - Strong expertise in: - Microprocessor and relay-based interlockings - Cab signal systems and communications-based train control (CBTC/PTC) - Grade crossing design and train detection systems - Proven ability to deliver full lifecycle signal engineering, from conceptual design through commissioning - Experience preparing contract documents and supporting construction-phase activities - Familiarity with FRA, AREMA, and transit agency standards (e.g., SEPTA, Amtrak, TTC, etc.) - Demonstrated leadership in technical delivery and multidisciplinary coordination Preferred Experience: - Experience with yard signal systems, high-speed rail corridors, and complex interlocking modifications - Background supporting state-of-good-repair programs, system upgrades, and rehabilitation projects - Prior experience in design-build and traditional delivery models Additional Information We believe in recognizing the unique value that each individual brings to our team.
