• Design & Development: Develop protection and control schemes for substations, transmission lines, and generation facilities • Specify and configure protective relays, control panels, and associated equipment • System Analysis: Perform short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies • Analyze system faults and relay operations to ensure proper protection • Testing & Commissioning: Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of protection and control systems • Troubleshoot and resolve relay misoperation or system anomalies • Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs meet NERC, IEEE, and local utility standards • Maintain documentation for regulatory compliance and audits • Collaboration: Work with project teams, field technicians, and SCADA engineers • Provide technical support during outages and maintenance activities

• Work closely and collaborate with clients, contractors, project managers, and other engineers • Develop and produce designs and drawings for all aspects of a substation design, including all physical layout and protective and control design considerations • Develop Bills of Material for substation brownfield and greenfield projects • Specify material to be used in substation designs including power transformers, breakers, disconnect switches, capacitors, conductor, and bus work • Provide construction support for substation construction projects both in person and remotely • Ability to work collaboratively with coworkers and clients and develop relationships that build trust in Halker as a trusted partner

• Work with OSAT in Asia to support company device packaging process improvements for NPI and volume manufacture • Work with CMs (contract manufactures) in Asia to support optical engine and subcomponent assembly and process improvement for NPI and volume manufacture • Project tracking weekly • Write technical reports and present results • Analyze data and track OSATs, Assembly houses, contract manufacturers Cp and Cpk for internal use • Support tests and reliability work at component level CoC, device level, optical engine, and module system assembly • Maintain the software and firmware support for testing and relevant setups

• Work in a System Verilog/UVM environment developing tests, testbenches, UVM components, and regressions/test lists. • Develop formal verification procedure for complex silicon IP. • Verify FPGA designs, including SOC architectures, design and implement test benches for both unit level and system level environments, and create reusable verification environments that can be used across multiple projects. • Be responsible for generating and executing the FPGA Verification Test Plan and FPGA Verification Matrix. • Oversee verification contractors and junior verification engineers. • Work in a fast-paced startup environment on a variety of products. • Work collaboratively and in tandem with system architects, FPGA design engineers, and embedded software engineers across different timezones. • Establish and maintain effective working relationships across departments.
