Power Delivery Engineer – Lead
Halker
• Work closely and collaborate with clients, contractors, project managers, and other engineers • Develop and produce designs and drawings for all aspects of a substation design, including all physical layout and protective and control design considerations • Develop Bills of Material for substation brownfield and greenfield projects • Specify material to be used in substation designs including power transformers, breakers, disconnect switches, capacitors, conductor, and bus work • Provide construction support for substation construction projects both in person and remotely • Ability to work collaboratively with coworkers and clients and develop relationships that build trust in Halker as a trusted partner
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
- 10+ years of experience in Substation or Power Distribution space
- Working knowledge of substation configurations, system protection, power system analysis, renewable generation, utility interconnections, renewable project development
- Technical abilities: Substation physical design, substation controls design, SCADA, telemetry, communication settings
- Professional Engineer License Preferred
- Reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum download speed of 500 Mbps
