• Lead and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement • Provide technical guidance and architectural oversight for Ruby on Rails applications. • Partner with Product and Design to plan, scope, and deliver features that align with business goals. • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning for engineers. • Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, security, and scalability. • Identify and resolve technical and organizational challenges that impact team delivery. • Support hiring, onboarding, and team growth initiatives.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience, with significant hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails.
- 3+ years of experience managing or leading software engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of web application architecture, APIs, databases, and cloud-based systems.
- Experience delivering and maintaining production-grade Rails applications at scale.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop engineers.
- Experience working with distributed or remote teams is a strong plus.
