Enterprise Solutions and Management (ESM) is a rapidly growing government contractor that provides strategic IT services that meet mission needs for Defense and Federal customers. We are hiring an Applications Developer for an exciting remote opportunity. Job Description and Responsibilities Provides application development and sustainment support for systems supporting the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO) using a DevSecOps approach aligned with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and guidance from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Develops, maintains, updates, and modernizes DTMO's portfolio of custom applications within an Agile development environment. Supports the sustainment of Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) applications and participates in the development and integration of new applications as approved through governance processes. Designs, develops, tests, and maintains software using technologies including Java, HTML5, PHP, and the Oracle APEX platform. Utilizes enterprise ticketing and workflow management tools such as ServiceNow, or other approved systems, to manage development tasks, track issues, and support software lifecycle activities. Ensures applications meet security, performance, and operational requirements while supporting DTMO mission-critical systems and ongoing modernization initiatives Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) - Knowledge of application development and sustainment practices using a DevSecOps approach within Agile environments. - Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST cybersecurity guidance, including security requirements for Government systems. - Knowledge of software development, testing, deployment, and modernization using technologies such as Java, HTML5, PHP, and the Oracle APEX platform. - Knowledge of Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) application sustainment and integration practices for mission-critical systems. - Knowledge of enterprise ticketing and workflow management tools, such as ServiceNow, to manage software development tasks, issue tracking, and lifecycle activities. Travel: 0-10% The Role As a Mid-Level Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you will contribute directly to the development and delivery of Army Vantage capabilities. You will operate in two-week sprint cycles, contributing to feature delivery from design through deployment.
