Location: The US Regional Cyber Security Lead is a remote position, with preference given to candidates in Tempe, AZ, Austin, TX, Allentown, PA, Carlsbad, CA, or Burlington, MA.  There will be approximately 15% domestic travel to the aforementioned locations to meet business needs. Your Role: As the Regional Cyber Security Lead within EMD Electronics (EL) Cyber Security team, you will report directly to the Head of Cyber Program & Strategy Implementation Electronics. Your primary responsibility is to drive the EL Cyber Security strategy within a designated region, collaborating closely with local country cyber security managers in your team and the broader EMD (EL) organization, primarily at our manufacturing and R&D sites. You will support the implementation of organizational and technical measures to ensure regulatory compliance and enhance cyber security maturity. As an IT/OT cyber security single point of contact (SPOC), you will offer expert advice and support for projects and operations, while monitoring and managing cyber security risks and incidents according to the EL Cyber Security Operational Model. Primary responsibilities include overseeing regional cyber security operations, developing and implementing cyber security processes and measures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong cyber security background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement regional cyber security strategies and measures. - Conduct regular cyber security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses. - Provide leadership and support during cyber security incident resolution. - Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices. - Act as an IT/OT cyber security SPOC to provide expert advice and support for projects and operations in line with the EL Cyber Security Operational Model. - Collaborate with IT, OT and other departments to enhance cyber security measures at local manufacturing and R&D sites. - Provide cyber security training and awareness programs for employees. - Manage and mentor a team of cyber security professionals through solid line reporting. - Prepare and present reports on cyber security status and incidents to senior management and EL cyber security organization. - Stay updated with the latest cyber security trends and threats. Who You Are Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in cyber security, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. - Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST). - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM). - Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH. - Knowledge of cloud security and data protection. - Experience in incident response and forensic analysis. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Pay range for this position: $154,800 - $216,000 The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. • Implement and maintain network security controls including firewall rule updates, segmentation enforcement, VPN configurations, and secure remote access support. • Support firewall governance processes including access reviews, rule validation, and policy cleanup initiatives. • Deploy and manage endpoint security tools including EDR/XDR agents, host-based firewall policies, and system hardening configurations. • Support PKI operations including certificate issuance, renewal, and troubleshooting encryption-related issues. • Administer identity and access controls across Active Directory and cloud identity platforms, including MFA enforcement, RBAC implementation, and access reviews. • Implement and monitor Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) controls to identify misconfigurations, excessive permissions, and compliance gaps across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP. • Investigate and remediate cloud security findings related to IAM exposure, storage misconfigurations, logging gaps, and configuration drift. • Execute DAST and SAST scanning activities, analyze application security findings, and support remediation efforts in partnership with development teams. • Support application security efforts by validating vulnerability remediation and retesting identified issues. • Monitor security alerts in collaboration with Security Operations and assist with incident investigation and containment. • Perform vulnerability scanning across infrastructure, cloud workloads, and web applications; track remediation to closure. • Review system and cloud configuration changes for security impact and ensure alignment with hardening standards. • Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Python, etc.) to automate monitoring, reporting, and validation of security controls. • Maintain documentation, runbooks, and audit artifacts to support compliance and governance requirements.

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network security architecture including firewalls, segmentation, IDS/IPS, VPN, and secure remote access solutions • Lead firewall rule reviews, optimization, and policy governance to ensure least-privilege and secure network access controls • Engineer and manage endpoint security solutions including EDR/XDR, host-based firewalls, disk encryption, and endpoint hardening standards • Architect and maintain Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificate lifecycle management, and encryption strategies for internal and external systems • Design and support enterprise identity and access management (IAM) controls including Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, SSO, MFA, conditional access, and privileged access management (PAM) • Serve as subject matter expert for Active Directory security, including GPO design, delegation models, tiered admin architecture, and AD hardening • Implement and monitor secure proxy solutions, web filtering, CASB, and secure web gateway technologies to protect outbound traffic • Develop and optimize security monitoring and detection capabilities in collaboration with the SOC, including log integration, alert tuning, and incident triage support • Lead incident response investigations, perform root cause analysis, and recommend long-term control improvements • Secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) including network security groups, IAM policies, logging, workload protection, and cloud posture management • Demonstrate deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, SMTP, LDAP, Kerberos, SNMP) and their security implications • Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation coordination across infrastructure, endpoints, and cloud platforms • Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools to improve security operations efficiency and reduce manual tasks • Review architecture designs and system implementations to ensure security-by-design principles are embedded early in projects • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex cross-domain security initiatives.
