Role Description This is a lead design engineering position that offers a variety of interesting and challenging opportunities in structural engineering and will provide an excellent opportunity to advance your career. Qualifications - MSCE with emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. - PE or SE license. - Ten or more years of experience working as a member of a project team in the design and analysis of industrial/heavy commercial or nuclear facility structures. - Proficiency with structural analysis software such as SAP2000, STRUDL, SASSI, or ANSYS. - Proficiency with design codes and standards such as ASCE 4, ASCE 43, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI. - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Valued, but not required: Ph.D. degree. • Oversee all engineering responsibilities and activities. • Delegates engineering responsibilities and activities within their team. • Leads the design and checking processes. • Manages the day-to-day activities of schedule and design. • Directly trains and directs CEs and CETs assigned to their team. • Maintains design standards and training guidelines. • Coordinates and problem solves issues between design teams and departments. • Answers technical questions posed by construction managers, field staff, customers and their representatives. • Recognizes and recommends methods to improve every customer’s experience. • Travels periodically to both customer offices for project meetings and to job sites for construction visits.
