Senior Information Security Engineer
Switch
• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments. • Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and security architecture reviews for new and existing systems. • Build and operate detection and response capabilities, including SIEM, EDR, SOAR, logging, and alerting. • Lead investigation and response for security incidents and drive root-cause remediation. • Partner with engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and software development processes. • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration test reviews. • Develop and maintain security standards, patterns, and technical documentation. • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to security analysts and engineers. • Track emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies relevant to Switchs environment.
Job Requirements
- 6 or more years of experience in information security or security engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of security across networks, operating systems, applications, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with security tooling such as SIEM, IDS or IPS, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and IAM platforms.
- Experience securing modern architectures including containers, Kubernetes, APIs, and microservices.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Deep familiarity with common attack techniques and defensive frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and OWASP Top 10.
- Ability to translate security risk into clear, actionable guidance.
