Facilities Engineer/Technician

Role Description RYZ Labs is hiring for a Facilities Engineer/Technician to maintain and optimize critical infrastructure (HVAC, electrical, and BMS), ensure efficient, reliable operations, and troubleshoot issues. Day/night shifts and on-call required. - Operate and maintain HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems (CRAC/CRAH, chillers, UPS, PDUs, switchgear, generators). - Monitor facilities via BMS/DCIM; respond to alarms and performance deviations. - Perform preventive/corrective maintenance and execute SOP/MOP/EOPs. - Troubleshoot infrastructure issues; conduct root-cause analysis and implement fixes. - Manage vendor/contractor work, service windows, and LOTO/safety permits. - Maintain documentation, logs, compliance records, and reports. Qualifications - 3+ years in data center or critical facilities operations. - Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, and controls/BMS. - Experience with CMMS, test equipment, and maintenance best practices. - Understanding of redundancy, capacity, and reliability (N/N+1/2N). - Safety-focused; knowledge of NFPA 70/70E and OSHA; able to work shifts/on-call. - Certifications a plus: EPA 608, CFC, OSHA 30, CDCDP/CDCEP.
