Role Description Peraton is seeking a Full Stack Developer with strong Java/Spring Boot/Angular experience to join our BEAGLE Team (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology), supporting U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The ideal candidate will serve as an Agile Scrum team member providing software development and maintenance for the delivery of releasable software in short sprint cycles. As a member of the BEAGLE Team, you will support the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation’s safety, security, and prosperity. CBP agents and officers are on the front lines every day, protecting our national security by combining customs, immigration, border security, and agricultural protection into one coordinated and supportive activity. Local candidates are expected to be onsite 2 to 3 days per week. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ experience or Associate’s degree and 10 years’ experience or a Masters degree and 6 years of experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years of experience. - U.S. Citizenship Required. - Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a CBP Public Trust, which may take up to 12 months or longer to complete. - 7+ years of technical experience related to software design, development and implementation in a Windows Environment. - Must have proficiency in Java 8 or higher, including an in-depth understanding of OOP principles, data structures, and algorithms. - Must have in-depth knowledge of the Angular framework including creating Angular components, services, good understanding of state management and UI performance. - Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and other modules, including dependency injection and aspect-oriented programming. - Strong knowledge of designing and implementing RESTful APIs, including standards, versioning, and documentation. - Experience using SQL or PL/SQL to access Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server databases.
