The Clinical Specialist at CVRx is responsible for providing clinical support for CVRx technology and business applications through education of current and potential customers, and procedure coverage within a defined region or geography, in partnership with Territory Managers, sales leaders and other key internal partners. As a Clinical Specialist at CVRx, you will play a vital role in supporting our cutting-edge technology while also supporting our commercial team in driving the expansion of our products. Other duties and areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: - Responsible for effectively communicating product and clinical benefits of Barostim therapy to cardiologists, heart failure/hypertension specialists, and cardiac/vascular surgeons to ensure their understanding of the therapy. - Facilitate trainings and other programs on proper application of Barostim therapy to clinicians, office, and hospital staff. - Provide technical support and troubleshooting during implant procedures, follow-up procedures, titrations, and patient office visits to ensure positive clinical outcomes. - Work with Territory Managers in developing effective plans to communicate the benefits of our technology, tailored to specific markets. - Work with Territory Managers, key physicians and site staff in the development and execution of a plan to effectively launch CVRx programs at new customer sites and ensure ongoing commitment to the program. - Drive utilization and continuous expansion of Barostim therapy through disease state education and supporting the development of therapeutic programs. - Act as a clinical interface between the medical community and the business. - Meet with existing and potential health care providers to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care, providing creative and feasible solutions. - Adheres to sales management processes and reporting systems usage, including maintaining an accurate record of devices and programmers at all times in Salesforce. - Provide additional back-up support to other field staff as needed. REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively manage relationships with key customer groups and CVRx staff. - Ability to master concepts of a medical and surgical nature, as well as that of active implantable medical device technology - Experience with products for cardiology or cardiac surgery therapeutic devices, heart failure experience will be prioritized - Independent, self-motivated, self-starter with the drive and persistence to introduce a novel and innovative technology to the market and support it becoming the standard of care - Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently - Proficient with Microsoft Office and ability to learn Salesforce, content management, learning management, and other systems as needed PREFERRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE - An advanced degree. - Healthcare experience beneficial - Knowledge of heart failure or cardiovascular market with clear understanding of competitive devices, strategies, advantages/disadvantages as they relate to the company’s devices - Proficient with Microsoft Office and Salesforce, with the demonstrated ability to quickly learn content management, learning management and other systems as needed - Ability to interact with R&D to represent customer perspective in order to provide input on product enhancements - and new product development WORKING CONDITIONS - This position is remote-based and will require the candidate to live within the region specified. - This position will require interfacing with multiple internal departments and physician investigators/customers. - Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. - Ability to travel 60% or more, some overnights may be required. - May be required to be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus and other diseases. With Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. EST. In this role, you will develop, implement, and support health service strategies, policies, and programs that promote high‑quality care for our members. These initiatives include utilization management, quality management, network management, and clinical coverage policies. The position requires advanced clinical judgment, strong critical‑thinking abilities, and the capacity to coordinate physical, behavioral, and psychosocial support services. Responsibilities include care planning, direct collaboration with providers, and effective resource utilization. Strong assessment, written documentation, and communication skills are essential. Key Responsibilities - Conduct face‑to‑face home visits using comprehensive assessment tools for members enrolled in Managed Long‑Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) and/or Dual Special Needs Programs (D‑SNP/FIDE). - Perform in‑person assessments for non‑MLTSS members to determine medical needs and support appropriate service referrals (e.g., adult medical daycare, pediatric medical daycare, personal care assistant services, nursing facility custodial care, Personal Preference Program, and MLTSS enrollment). - Successfully complete and maintain NJ Choice Certification (required for continued employment). - Work with diverse populations, including pediatric and medically complex members. - Coordinate and collaborate with members, authorized representatives, primary care providers, and interdisciplinary care teams. - Schedule and participate in interdisciplinary meetings, advocating for members to ensure safe transitions and appropriate services. - Develop individualized care plans and authorize services within MLTSS/FIDE program benefits in a cost‑effective manner. - Document all assessments, interactions, and care planning activities accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record. - Utilize strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills in daily work. - Mentor new staff once appropriate proficiency has been achieved. Required Qualifications - Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of New Jersey. - Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in settings such as hospitals, home health, or ambulatory care. - Residency in Middlesex and Mercer County, NJ - Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% within Middlesex and Mercer Counties. - Successful completion of NJ Choice Certification, including: - Exam score of 80% or higher - Completion of state training modules - Field mentoring, as required by the NJ Division of Aging Services Preferred Qualifications - Experience in case management and/or discharge planning - Background in managed care - Crisis intervention skills Education - Minimum of an associate degree in Nursing Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $66,575.00 - $142,576.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
