The Role As a Territory Manager at CVRx, you will play a pivotal role that combines market development expertise with hands-on technical support, ensuring the success of CVRx technologies in therapeutic applications. This role is dynamic and multi-faceted, offering a blend of strategic planning, educational support, and direct clinical engagement. To be successful in this role you offer professional presentation skills, product knowledge, negotiations and closing sales skills to meet or exceed sales targets. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES - Develops and drives strategies, including resource development and deployment to meet patient implant and revenue goals. - Ensures execution of strategies to deliver on metrics within Territory. - Demonstrates expert proficiency with regard to Salesforce, Salesforce dashboards, forecasting, and CVRx commercial business applications, with the ability and desire to teach others. - Maintains a thorough understanding of complex physiological and technical principles pertaining to CVRx technologies and therapies. - Supports implants and follow-up procedures and visits. Provides troubleshooting and other technical assistance to healthcare providers and CVRx employees. - Receives technical inquiries and researches solutions to questions or problems. - Represents CVRx devices in front of leading cardiologists, hypertension specialists, and cardiac/vascular surgeons to ensure their understanding of the clinical therapy. - Provides on-call clinical support as needed, troubleshooting, including in-service education and training physicians in one-on-one sessions, and delivery of in-service education programs for hospital personnel and staff on technical matters relating to CVRx devices or studies. - Provides R&D support through customer feedback on product enhancements or new product development ideas. - Adheres to sales management processes and reporting systems usage to ensure disciplined implementation of commercial strategy for assigned area. Maintains an accurate record of devices and programmers at all times in Salesforce. - Other duties as assigned. The Clinical Specialist at CVRx is responsible for providing expert support and education related to the precise titration and functionality checks of our company's medical device, primarily focusing on implantable devices requiring post-procedure adjustments and rigorous performance verification. This role involves direct interaction with healthcare professionals and adherence to strict regulatory and quality standards as well as internal protocols. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevice Titration and Optimization ▪ Provide clinical and technical support to physicians, nurses, and other allied healthcare professionals on the proper techniques for device titration and programming to optimize patient outcomes. ▪ Assist in real-time titration procedures (either on-site or remotely) to ensure devices are correctly calibrated according to the physician's prescription and patient needs. ▪ Educate clinical staff on advanced programming features, troubleshooting, and best practices for chronic management of the device settings. ▪ Serve as a primary technical resource for clinical inquiries regarding device operation, troubleshooting, and complex patient cases. Device Functionality Checks and Quality Assurance ▪ Perform and document thorough device checks (e.g., integrity checks, battery status, lead/sensor impedance, therapeutic output) following implant, during follow-up, and as required by protocols. ▪ Identify, document and report any potential device anomalies or performance deviations to the appropriate internal teams (e.g., R&D, Quality, Regulatory). ▪ Maintain meticulous records of all titration, programming, and check procedures in compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO). Collaboration and Compliance ▪ Collaborate closely with Sales, Research & Development, Clinical Affairs, and Quality teams to provide field feedback that can inform product improvements and clinical strategy. ▪ Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, medical device regulations) and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). ▪ Participate in clinical trials or post-market surveillance activities as needed, performing scheduled device checks and data collection. The Clinical Specialist at CVRx is responsible for providing clinical support for CVRx technology and business applications through education of current and potential customers, and procedure coverage within a defined region or geography, in partnership with Territory Managers, sales leaders and other key internal partners. As a Clinical Specialist at CVRx, you will play a vital role in supporting our cutting-edge technology while also supporting our commercial team in driving the expansion of our products. Other duties and areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: - Responsible for effectively communicating product and clinical benefits of Barostim therapy to cardiologists, heart failure/hypertension specialists, and cardiac/vascular surgeons to ensure their understanding of the therapy. - Facilitate trainings and other programs on proper application of Barostim therapy to clinicians, office, and hospital staff. - Provide technical support and troubleshooting during implant procedures, follow-up procedures, titrations, and patient office visits to ensure positive clinical outcomes. - Work with Territory Managers in developing effective plans to communicate the benefits of our technology, tailored to specific markets. - Work with Territory Managers, key physicians and site staff in the development and execution of a plan to effectively launch CVRx programs at new customer sites and ensure ongoing commitment to the program. - Drive utilization and continuous expansion of Barostim therapy through disease state education and supporting the development of therapeutic programs. - Act as a clinical interface between the medical community and the business. - Meet with existing and potential health care providers to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care, providing creative and feasible solutions. - Adheres to sales management processes and reporting systems usage, including maintaining an accurate record of devices and programmers at all times in Salesforce. - Provide additional back-up support to other field staff as needed. REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively manage relationships with key customer groups and CVRx staff. - Ability to master concepts of a medical and surgical nature, as well as that of active implantable medical device technology - Experience with products for cardiology or cardiac surgery therapeutic devices, heart failure experience will be prioritized - Independent, self-motivated, self-starter with the drive and persistence to introduce a novel and innovative technology to the market and support it becoming the standard of care - Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently - Proficient with Microsoft Office and ability to learn Salesforce, content management, learning management, and other systems as needed PREFERRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE - An advanced degree. - Healthcare experience beneficial - Knowledge of heart failure or cardiovascular market with clear understanding of competitive devices, strategies, advantages/disadvantages as they relate to the company’s devices - Proficient with Microsoft Office and Salesforce, with the demonstrated ability to quickly learn content management, learning management and other systems as needed - Ability to interact with R&D to represent customer perspective in order to provide input on product enhancements - and new product development WORKING CONDITIONS - This position is remote-based and will require the candidate to live within the region specified. - This position will require interfacing with multiple internal departments and physician investigators/customers. - Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. - Ability to travel 60% or more, some overnights may be required. - May be required to be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus and other diseases. Salary range for U.S locations (USD): 100,000 - 120,000 per year. The base salary range is applicable across the U.S., complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and specific location. In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Variable Incentive Plan (VIP) which provides the opportunity to earn additional variable compensation for meeting established objectives as outlined during first 30 days of employment.
