Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) for the Department of 29216 (Link to Dept. Webpage) Kremen School of Education and Human Development Position Overview: The Department of Liberal Studies is seeking Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) applicants. Applicants will support sections of Liberal Studies (LS) 115 – Understanding and Applying Social Science Content, Pedagogy, and Technology in K-12. - ISAs will assist with instruction of LS 115 during the following semester and may also have opportunities to support additional introductory courses within the Liberal Studies Department. - This position primarily works remotely, with the following schedule: Mondays/Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. and Tuesdays/Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:50 p.m., when faculty teach their courses. The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign Instructional Student Assistant to the courses that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made. Anticipated Appointment Dates: This position is opened until filled. If you have applied and no other positions are available, you will be notified. Spring 2026: January 15, 2026 - May 22, 2026 Hours: 0-20 hours per week. Job Duties may include the following, but will be dependent upon the specific course to which the instructional student assistant will be assigned, as well as upon the specific needs of the faculty member in charge of the course: - Maintain and submit student records and grades - Evaluate student assignments - Canvas management - Monitor digital synchronous course environment - Google Forms, Sheets, Slide, Notebook LM, and other applications - Proficient with video editing software (i.e., iMovie, Panopto) Qualifications: - Minimum GPA 3.0 - Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff and students from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic background, - Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Suite and applications, and Research Report Writing Preferred Qualifications: - Have a masters in the Education field - Enrolled in a current master’s degree program, including but not limited to - Student Affairs and College Counseling (SACC) or - Higher Education and Administrative Leadership (HEAL) Application Procedures: The review of applications will begin immediately and may continue for next semester. Please check with your department for your Base Salary. The Salary range for Instructional Student Assistants starts at $17.86 per an hour. - Assignments: Assignments are made by Department Chair or Program Coordinator after consultation with the candidate. - Duties Form: Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Unit 11, a Duties Form (see Appendix E of the CBA) will be completed between the Department and Academic Student Employee. This form substantiates the jobs included for the department Instructional Student Assistant position. - Instructional Student Assistant positions are for matriculated students at Fresno State. - Students are limited to 20-hours of part-time work on campus. Job Summary: The ACCESS Teacher provides web-based instruction to State of Alabama high school students. Additional Department Summary: Initiates and maintains regular contact with facilitators and students regarding student progress. Logs in to the learning management system at least once each day throughout any term in which they are assigned a course. Responds to student emails. Provides feedback on activities. Grades assignments. Monitors student participation. Creates and posts timely announcements. Monitors login times for students and discuss any areas of concern or irregularities with the facilitator, school administrator, or designee. Posts news items and events to keep students on pace and facilitators well informed of course activities and assignments. Previews all activities, links, and quizzes in the learning management system before assigning them to students. • Responsible for oversight, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Cogito relational data workflows and Epic infrastructure. • Implement and support Epic Cogito and SQL Server database in a large Hospital system. • Manage the Epic Cogito data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy and conducting regular quality checks including claims, recruitment, and metadata. • Design and implement SQL server database platforms and Clarity/Caboodle implementation. • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, resolving complex issues. • Develop and maintain system documentation, including architectural diagrams, models, SOPs, and user guides. • Lead system upgrades, patches, various projects, and testing.
