Our team is driven by a culture of disciplined execution, humility, and curiosity where AI is at the core of how we operate, innovate, and serve clients. At Solovis, youll join a tech-forward, growth-minded team that believes in learning fast, thinking big, and delivering meaningful impact for asset owners worldwide. Our companies are not the largest or flashiest, but they are among the best-run software businesses, creating value for customers and shareholders at an accelerated pace. To date, our team has built six platform companies, each culminating in multiple liquidity transactions with multi-billion-dollar valuations. The Business Systems Manager, reporting to the VP of Business Systems, supports the delivery and continuous improvement of the company’s core business systems as the organization scales. You translate business strategy into clear system needs and priorities, and help ensure the company’s core platforms (Salesforce, NetSuite, OpenAir, and adjacent tools) evolve with strong controls, clean data, and high adoption. In this role, you partner with functional teams to turn messy requests into clear problems, decisions, and trade-offs; you shape scope toward reusable patterns instead of one-off fixes; and you drive alignment on what matters most. You contribute across the full change lifecycle—from intake and discovery through design, build coordination, testing, rollout, enablement, and post-launch performance—using AI to accelerate analysis, draft stronger first passes, and pressure-test options without sacrificing quality. To ensure systems are trusted and used correctly, you support governance and documentation standards, maintain a clear backlog of work, and promote strong requirements and process design. You stay current on platform capabilities and continuously strengthen the business systems landscape as the company grows, including supporting acquisition integrations and cross-system simplification. Key Responsibilities - Design systems and write build-ready specifications with clear acceptance criteria, decisions, and constraints—validated with stakeholders—so builders can implement without rework. - Administer and continuously improve Salesforce, NetSuite, and other core platforms by streamlining workflows, making data contracts and permissions explicit, and simplifying integrations—using AI and no/low-code where it adds speed without weakening controls. - Partner with functional leaders to turn requests into clear problem statements; capture the why/what, acceptance criteria, trade-offs, and decisions in the backlog; prioritize with impact and capacity in mind; and shape scope toward reusable patterns, using AI to explore options quickly. - Contribute to acquisition and integration efforts as part of a cross-functional team by mapping processes and data, aligning taxonomies and data contracts, and supporting planned cutovers and deprecations to reduce disruption. Competencies - Ability to Influence: Builds alignment across stakeholders through clear communication, sound reasoning, and trust; drives decisions forward without relying on authority. - Proactive Problem Solving: Anticipates risks and edge cases, frames clear problem statements, and proposes options with trade-offs—using AI to explore and pressure-test assumptions. - Disciplined Execution: Plans and delivers work with strong follow-through by defining ownership, timelines, and acceptance criteria; closes loops and reduces rework through rigor. - Systems Thinking & Documentation: Models processes and data, exposes interfaces and dependencies, and maintains decision records and diagrams teams actively use to design and evolve the system. - M&A and Integration (Cross-Functional): Supports acquisition and integration efforts by mapping processes and data, aligning taxonomies and data contracts, and contributing to cutovers and deprecations to reduce disruption.
