JOB TITLE: Manager, Database Services JOB LOCATIONS: 5080 Spectrum Drive, Suite 1200W, Addison, TX 75001 DUTIES: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of database engineers by developing team skills through training and continuous learning opportunities. Set goals, evaluate performance, and provide feedback for team members. Manage team resources and allocate personnel for database projects. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, ASE/Sybase, SQL Server). Ensure optimal performance, tuning, and scalability of all database environments. Monitor database performance and proactively identify issues to resolve or escalate. Implement database best practices, policies, and procedures for performance optimization. Manage and ensure database security, access controls, and data privacy according to organizational and regulatory standards. Ensure the implementation of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies for all databases. Work with security teams to manage database audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing. Collaborate with development teams, IT operations, and business stakeholders to ensure database support for applications and services and act as the primary point of contact for database service-related escalations and issues. Ensure alignment of database services with the organization’s strategic goals and IT architecture. Lead database-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with business requirements. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for database licensing, support contracts, and external services. Manage budgets and costs related to database infrastructure, licensing, and services. Remote work permitted 20% of the time. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Applications, Information Systems, or a related field. 7 years of experience in: Database Administration for an Oracle, AWS, Exadata, Oracle EBS, and SQL Server, including managing database incidents and implementing structured change control processes; Database Architecture; Designing and implementing database solutions on Oracle Exadata systems and migrating databases from legacy platforms to hybrid cloud-based environments; Architecting, designing, configuring, and upgrading ERP systems; and Designing, implementing, and managing Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Oracle E-Business Suite (ERP), and providing Level 4 operational support in hybrid cloud-based environments. Remote work permitted 20% of the time.
