Senior Media Data Analyst

KSV is seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Senior Data Analyst to own measurement strategy and marketing analytics end-to-end. This is a team of one role: you will define how we measure performance, build and maintain the analytics foundation (tracking, pipelines, data model, dashboards), and turn data into clear recommendations that improve marketing outcomes and business growth. You’ll serve as the primary analytics partner to media/cross functional teams setting standards, ensuring data quality and enabling confident decision making through consistent KPIs, reliable reporting and actionable insights. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis, Insights & Optimization - Gather, analyze, and interpret campaign and customer data to identify performance drivers and opportunities. - Provide clear recommendations on targeting, messaging, creative/testing learnings, and budget allocation to improve ROI and outcomes. - Develop recurring performance narratives for stakeholders that connect marketing activity to business impact. Reporting, Dashboards & Enablement - Create reports and dashboards to track campaign effectiveness and communicate insights. - Build visually compelling presentations using tools such as Looker Studio. - Establish scalable reporting: automated dashboards, standardized reporting views, and self-serve performance tracking. Measurement Strategy & Analytics Ownership - Own marketing measurement strategy across channels and campaigns, including technical requirements and success criteria. - Define and maintain KPI definitions, metric governance, and reporting standards to ensure consistency across teams and tools. - Establish an experimentation approach, including A/B testing and multivariate testing, and translate learnings into optimizations. - Forecast campaign performance and guide budget allocation using historical performance and market trends. Collaboration & Leadership Partnership - Serve as the day-to-day analytics partner to media planning/buying, and cross functional teams to ensure alignment with marketing objective. - Translate complex findings into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and non-technical audiences. Marketing Data Infrastructure & Architecture - Maintain the marketing analytics infrastructure (from collection → transformation → reporting). - Integrate data across marketing platforms, CRM systems, and website analytics sources to create a unified view. - Own data quality: validation, anomaly detection, documentation, and ongoing improvements to accuracy and reliability. Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in marketing with an emphasis in analytics or related field (or equivalent experience). - 5+ years of experience in data analysis and marketing analytics (agency experience preferred). - Strong understanding of marketing metrics and attribution modeling. - Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex insights clearly. - Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment (high ownership/self-management). - Experience working with media performance data across paid search, paid social, display, video, programmatic, etc. - Curiosity around advanced analytics such as attribution, forecasting or testing frameworks. Required Technical Skills for Success - Strong experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (tracking strategy, implementation guidance, QA). - Dashboard development and automation experience (Looker Studio). - Hands on experience with Funnel.io for data transformation/modeling and dataset management. - SQL proficiency (writing queries, joining datasets, building/validating derived metrics). - Experience with a marketing data warehouse (preferably BigQuery) and working with integrated marketing datasets. - Understanding of privacy landscape, including cookie consent management and first party data strategies. - Strong Excel skills for analysis and QA. Personal Development - Stay current with marketing analytics tools and technologies; recommend and lead tool integration to improve efficiency and data accuracy. - Continuously upgrade knowledge and skills through courses, seminars, and self-learning. Nice to Have - Media planning and buying experience. - Familiarity with database management beyond querying (permissions, schema design concepts, performance considerations).
