Purpose The primary purpose of the Inside Sales Technical Specialist (ISTS) is to provide estimating, quoting, quote follow up, and market price tracking support to Deck Division Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs). This includes supporting all sales territories during OSR absences and vacations. Position will also support sales growth by looking to identify, develop, and manage the lower volume customer base for the division. ISTS will serve as first line technical support for customers and general technical inquiries received by Customer Service Representatives and through the ASC website. This role supports sales growth by delivering accurate estimates, responsive quotations, and technical product guidance to customers and OSR’s. Additional sales growth is supported by the development of lower volume customer base. The Inside Sales Technical Specialist will work closely with the ASC Deck OSR team, Technical Representative and Project Management team. It is important for the incumbent to be self-organized, demonstrate the drive to generate leads via various communication channels and possess the curiosity to grow in the sales profession. Primary Duties & Responsibilities • Estimating plans for lump sum quoting opportunities as directed by Project Services Manager and per specific OSR support. Make necessary clarifying calls to customers and Engineers to clarify discrepancies. Prepare detailed estimate summaries. • Vacation coverage for OSR’s • Issue and follow-up on customer quotes in support of specific territory strategies. Document quotes in quote log. • Serve as first line technical support for low volume customer base and unassigned customers. • Respond to all technical and website inquiries. • Prospect and develop new customer opportunities and understand their needs/requirements in coordination with specific territory strategies. • Manage low volume customer base for California territories. • Stay current of product knowledge, pricing, and competitor offerings. • Assist OSR’s with product substitution submittals. • Provide value engineering proposal support to OSR’s. • Participate in weekly sales meetings and 1:1 meeting with OSR, take responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned action items at direction of OSR’s and Sales Manager Tools Required • DPS, POM, MyKLS • Bluebeam estimating software • Microsoft Applications (Excel. Salary Range: The expected pay scale for this role is $xx-xx annually, depending on experience, skill set, and qualifications. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be the engine of growth for our assigned territories, focusing on maximizing the value of our existing customer base. You will bridge the gap between marketing interest and closed sales by researching account strategies and aligning Inotiv’s solutions with client needs. This role requires a disciplined approach to pipeline management, ensuring that every lead is nurtured and every account plan is executed to meet and exceed sales quotas. Key Accountabilities - Manages sales activities for existing accounts in the assigned territory - Develops account plans to deliver on defined sales objectives to achieve sales quota - Develops opportunities by communicating, and engaging to understand customers’ needs and aligning the value proposition Envigo delivers - Conducts research to understand customer strategy and objectives in order to identify opportunities - Prioritizes time across the portfolio of accounts to ensure a robust sales pipeline - Follows up on marketing qualified leads to move into the sales process - Other special projects and duties as assigned Minimum Requirements - Associates degree in animal or veterinary science or other means of attaining equivalent knowledge - Lab / bench level pre-clinical or academic research experience in lieu of sales experience - Detail-oriented, Customer Centric and Competitive - Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook, a CRM tool such as Salesforce.com - Strong work ethic and positive attitude Preferences Working Conditions & Physical Requirements - Extended computer and display screen equipment usage - Ability to push, pull, lift pounds unassisted. - Stand / walk for extended period of time. - Fine manipulation including handle touch object or tools and ability to handled controls to perform work. - Ability to read and interpret materials, verbally communicate, and hear required. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
