Base Pay Range: $115,000 - $128,000 Role Summary Financial Planning & Analysis Manager (FP&A) is responsible for leading our planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance analytics functions. This highly visible role partners closely with leaders across Operations, Sales, Risk Management, Accounting, Legal, and Finance to drive financial clarity, guide decision‑making, and support profitable growth across all product lines, including F&I, road hazard, and mechanical parts warranties. As a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, your essential job functions will include the following: Strategic Planning & Forecasting - Lead the translation of the strategic plan into an annual operating budget. This will include mid-course correction as necessary throughout the year. - Develop and manage the process and preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long‑range financial plans across all product lines (F&I, road hazard, mechanical parts warranties). - Model revenue recognition, claims expenses, and operating expenses trends to support pricing, underwriting strategy, and SG&A planning. - Partner with the leadership team to evaluate new product opportunities, dealer programs, market expansion initiatives, and other projects. - Work closely with management to ensure decisions involving new business practices or modifications to existing practices are appropriately analyzed and presented with logical conclusions and recommendations. - Develop cash flow forecasting and maintain a long-term cash forecast. - Lead financial modeling and analysis to support the development of long-term strategic initiatives and business plans, working closely with business unit leaders and executive management. - Strive to continuously improve processes by identifying opportunities to simplify, streamline, and automate, while ensuring robust underlying analytics and methodology. - Ensure all external and internal forward-looking financial models are up-to-date and consistent and provide documentation on changes as they occur. - Lead the calculation and analysis of ROI for initiatives, projects, and investments to support data‑driven decision making. Own FP&A projects and initiatives end‑to‑end—driving work planning, goal setting, milestones, communication, and accountability for delivering results. - Provide regular written and verbal updates to key internal and external stakeholders. - Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required. Financial Analysis & Reporting - Monitor the company’s performance versus strategic objectives and operating budgets. This will include an effective, timely reporting process that communicates results to the entire organization. - Produce monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis, KPIs, and line of business‑level profitability. These include internal and external audiences. - Analyze contract sales, cancellations, operating functions and administrative fee structures to identify margin improvement opportunities and evaluate admin rate adequacy. - Evaluate vendor contracts, reinsurance structures, and administrative cost drivers to optimize financial outcomes. - Coordinate with IT to build dashboards and reporting tools that provide real‑time visibility into sales, revenue, claims, and operational performance. - Partner with cross functional teams to support all finance related activities. Operational Excellence - Lead continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting accuracy, reporting automation, and data integrity. - Oversee financial systems, planning tools, and data governance related to FP&A processes. - Establish standardized reporting frameworks for product performance, dealer profitability, and claims trends. - Mentor and develop FP&A resources, fostering a high‑performance, data‑driven culture. Other Duties as Assigned Job Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. - 6+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally within automotive, insurance, warranty, or F&I product environments. - Strong understanding of revenue recognition and deferred revenue, loss ratios, claims modeling, underwriting principles, and contract lifecycle economics. - Advanced financial modeling skills and proficiency with Excel, BI tools, ERP/FP&A/financial systems, and other Microsoft Office products. Experience with OneStream a plus. - Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
