Role Description - Assessment and measurement of SAR image quality - Development of SAR data processing algorithms and software - Advanced SAR tool design, application programming interfaces (APIs) between SAR tools and commercial Electronic Light Table (ELT) systems, complex SAR file format processing - Analysis of effectiveness of COTS and GOTS algorithms and tools in SAR analysis and visualization - Rapid prototyping to support SAR related research activities Qualifications - SAR image quality, SAR image science, image and signal processing - Nonliteral SAR exploitation, advance SAR image processing, image visualization and analysis - Applications research into the effectiveness and utility of advanced aspects of SAR phenomenology - SAR phenomenology research national space and airborne, commercial and foreign overhead SAR single look complex (SLC) data formats and exploitation - Community SAR standards to include the Sensor Independent Complex Data (SICD) and Sensor Independent Derived Data (SIDD) file formats - SAR tool and LT plug-in APIs, and interactive, near-real time data processing and visualization Requirements - Senior level position education and experience can be met with 9 years of experience and a Master’s degree

Classification Title: Postdoctoral Associate Classification Minimum Requirements: The appointee must have received the doctorate in a field appropriate to the assigned duties and responsibilities. Job Description: The Research and Evaluation Methodology Program at the University of Florida invites applications for Postdoctoral Scholar positions. Postdoctoral Scholars will work with Dr. Wei Li on multiple funded projects focused on quantitative research methods development and/or the causal evaluation of educational programs. This is a 12-month, time-limited appointment. The appointment is renewable annually for multiple years, contingent upon research needs, funding availability, and satisfactory performance. The start date is flexible, and the position may be performed either in person in Gainesville, FL, or remotely. Expected Salary: Commensurate with education and experience. Required Qualifications: - Doctoral degree in quantitative research methods, statistics, or a closely related field by the start date (or completion of all degree requirements prior to the start date). Preferred: The ideal candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following areas: - Design and analysis of longitudinal studies - Monte Carlo simulation and/or statistical software or package development (e.g., R, Stata) - Multilevel modeling (MLM), difference-in-differences (DID), or comparative interrupted time series (CITS) - Cleaning and managing large datasets from administrative data sources or online learning platforms - Causal machine learning (e.g., double/debiased machine learning (DML), causal forests, generic ML) - Learning analytics and/or education data mining Candidates with related expertise, such as econometrics, causal inference, experimental and quasi-experimental design and analysis, and methods for handling missing data, are also encouraged to apply.
