Overview The National Sales Manager, Solutions Business is responsible for leading and managing the strategic and tactical activities of the Professional Services Sales Team. The goal is to establish vision and a business plan towards the implementation, development, and execution of solution and service sales across all Mobility vertical business units. The overall objective of this position is to grow the Mobility Solutions Business across our service, software, and strategic third-party product categories. Responsibilities Team Leadership - Lead, coach, train, and motivate the team by working alongside direct reports in the field (in conjunction with the vertical sales teams), acting as subject matter experts for end users and reseller accounts with the ultimate goal of increasing our solutions business across all core Mobility verticals. - Establish vision and create business plans for new solutions within the vertical, set strategic direction, and ensure adjustments to the plan as necessary throughout the fiscal year to ensure achievement of goals. - Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports to management on the progress and state of the team's activities. - Engage and leverage effective relationships with internal resources and industry partners to create opportunities and drive further adoption of Panasonic strategic solutions. - Oversee and manage the team implementing programs from initiation through delivery, ensuring the right internal resources — technical or business — are aligned to support the team's success. Scope - Responsible for managing a team tasked with driving the Mobility Solutions business across all geographies and vertical business units. - Will cover a national and cross-vertical business; candidate may live anywhere in the continental U.S. Sales Management - Establish guidelines and expected levels of performance for direct reports; dedicated to communicating, reinforcing, measuring, enforcing, and taking action where necessary to ensure the highest level of employee performance. - Provide accountabilities and objectives for each direct report that clearly outline performance expectations; update and communicate enhancements to accountabilities and objectives as required. - Regularly accompany direct reports in the field to provide support, leadership, and education; deliver immediate feedback to direct reports as required relative to their performance. - Provide ongoing training opportunities to all direct reports in an effort to enhance individual skill levels and performance. - Regularly monitor the progress of each direct report, effectively and promptly communicate opportunities for improvement, and assist direct reports in creating their individual vertical solution growth and go-to-market plans. - Delegate authority to encourage personal growth, and identify and develop future management from within the team. Business Management - Responsible for achievement of the team's business plan through execution of the plan and control of expenditures. - Serve as the primary subject matter expert for the Mobility Solutions portfolio and own the growth of various lines of business through a matrixed approach of influence via channel, marketing, and sales teams. - Act as the go-to expert at Panasonic for clearing solution expansion roadblocks internally and guiding teams through problem solving and conflict resolution with sales and channel teams. - Work closely with the product, marketing, and vertical sales teams to discuss partnerships, solutions, and go-to-market strategies needed for the expansion of solution revenue. - Leverage a high level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and AI tools to support the business analytics and presentations required of the role. - Continuously identify potential solutions Panasonic can develop to strengthen the organization across specific vertical markets. - Maintain proficiency in current CRM tools and coach the entire team on their effective usage. Qualifications Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or a related discipline. - 8–10 years of successful sales experience in the Rugged Computing market with a strong track record of consultative solution selling. - Strong leadership skills with previous experience managing a remote team in a channel or direct sales environment. - Seasoned professional with a thorough understanding of the mobile technology market and the services and solutions that surround it. - Solid understanding of business, financials, markets, and the needs of ISVs, resellers, and customers. - Ability to articulate the mobility solutions ecosystem value proposition and align it with Panasonic's business objectives. - Strong communicative, interpersonal, and negotiating skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills required to effectively engage with all levels of the organization (up to the CIO level), PCONA HQ Operations, customers, resellers, sales teams, and other internal shared services resources.
